Vintage Coast Salish finely woven basket.



Finely and tightly woven vintage basket from the Coast Salish people.
Basket is made from split cedar bark with a very intricate design.
dyed with bear grasses, red cherry bark and natural cream coloured which adds to the beauty and whimsy of this collectible piece.
This basket would’ve been used to gather berries or other provisions.

Basket is a round cylindrical shape.

There are some minor wear and tear due to the age of the item but still in great vintage condition. Perfect for decor to be used as a planter or kept as an artifact.
